Unit will accept 1st time travelers
Call: Weekdays & weekends in rotation
Education: Completion of a formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology Certifications Required Certified by The
American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion. Current license as a Perfusionist by the Louisiana State Board of Medical
OR ability to obtain a state license. Clinicians in this role conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass, provides ventricular
assist support, provides Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support, and conducts ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation. Also
required to perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, hemofiltration including acute dialysis, and operate
various blood analyzers and Ex-vivo organ systems.
