Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Perfusionist - Perfusionist

Job Details:

• 2 years of experience required
• Unit will accept first-time travelers
• Call required on weekdays and weekends in rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 8 hours of orientation provided
• One pre-approved time off allowed
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted)
• No call-ins permitted
• Must be separated from facility for 1 full year before returning as travel
• May be assigned to "Emergency Team" during emergency events with expectation to stay until event passes
• Conduct adult cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• Provide ventricular assist support and Intra Aortic Balloon Pump support
• Conduct ExtraCorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)
• Perform auto transfusion, physiological monitoring, and hemofiltration including acute dialysis
• Operate various blood analyzers and Ex-vivo organ systems
• Required education: Completion of formal training program in Extracorporeal Technology
• Required certification: Certified by The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
• Required license: Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Perfusionist license (must have in hand at submission)
• BLS certification required
• Specialized skills include ECMO, Blood Conservation Techniques, IABP, VAD, and various cardiac surgical procedures

The facility provides sophisticated perfusion services supporting complex cardiac surgeries, heart transplants, and advanced life support procedures. The medical center maintains state-of-the-art equipment for extracorporeal procedures and operates a high-volume cardiac surgery program with specialized teams for emergency cardiac events.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
