Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.
• Orientation dates available starting from May through November.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
• Night shift with 12-hour shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed.
• Comfortable caring for neuro and surgical patients within a medical-surgical unit.
• Current BLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• License verification and copy of required certifications.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
• Work history/resume.
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (local candidates accepted with a rate reduction).

• Night shift with 12-hour shifts.

• Call back and on-call pay available.
• Floating within the same discipline may be required.

This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs who have prior travel experience and are comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.
