Local Pay: $60 to $62/hr on W2.

PAY:
Hourly Pay: $39/hr on W2
Housing Stipend: $700 weekly
Meals: $546 weekly
Weekly Gross: $2650 weekly for 36 hours

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Med Surg
Location - 111 Hospital Drive, Utica, NY 13502

Duration - 13 weeks contract
Day Shift - 6:30 am to 7 pm (12X3 shift) // 36 hours weekly
Floating Required: Yes
Scrub Color: Navy Blue
Charting: Epic

Unit Specifics:
Common Patient Diagnosis - Post Surgical care: Abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fracture, Back pain, morbid obesity (bariatric surgery).
Specialty equipment - IV pumps, N/G tubes, feeding tubes
Patient Demographics: Adults
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as prescribed
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, and patient responses to treatments
Manage post-operative patients, including pain control and wound care
Provide respiratory care including oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
Respond to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions

REQUIREMENT:
At least 2+ years Med Surg experience - Required

TRAVEL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
NY RN License - Required
