Duties:
Provides basic nursing care while ensuring accurate documentation, timely patient response, and quality patient care. Assists RNs and physicians with patient preparation, exams, diagnostic testing, and communication of patient updates. Maintains organization of supplies, reports lab/test results appropriately, and supports efficient patient flow. Additional responsibilities include answering phones professionally, providing discharge instructions, performing patient callbacks, assisting with room/workstation upkeep, and maintaining professional boundaries at all times.

Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication, critical thinking, organization, and adaptability skills required. Ability to work calmly in high-stress situations while maintaining professionalism and empathy with patients and visitors. Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment. Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic testing, treatments, and medical supplies preferred.

Education & Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program required. Active California LVN license and BLS certification required. Additional certifications such as IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal and NRP may be required depending on department assignment. Hyperbaric Medicine training required within one year for Wound Care Clinic positions. Previous healthcare experience and bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred.
