Position Overview

Merrimack Health Lawrence Hospital is seeking experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses for a high-acuity, fast-paced ED setting. This assignment requires strong clinical skills across all patient populations, including adult and pediatric emergency care due to increasing pediatric volume.

Candidates must be comfortable managing a wide range of emergency cases in a busy community hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department
• Triage and stabilize patients across all acuity levels
• Manage adult and pediatric emergency cases
• Perform rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary ED team
• Administer emergency medications and treatments
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN License (Required prior to start)
• Minimum 2 Years Recent Emergency Department Experience
• Prior Travel Nursing Experience Required
• Must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients in ED setting

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC

All certifications must be completed and in hand prior to start date. No exceptions.

Schedule & Compensation Notes

• 12-hour night shifts
• 48-hour guaranteed contract
• Local and travel candidates accepted
• Local candidates within 50 miles will be paid local rate

Submission Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Certifications
• Minimum 2 Years ED Experience
• Travel Nursing Experience Required
• Skills Checklist (Emergency Department, current within 1 year)
• One Supervisory Reference (within last 2 years)
• Complete 7-Year Work History
• Permanent Address Required
• Interview Availability Required at Submission
