Shift Timing: Day Shift

Schedule: 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch | 34.5 Hours per Week

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension

Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will have expertise in breast imaging and be proficient in performing screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, including 3-D Tomosynthesis. This role offers the opportunity to work in an acute care setting with advanced imaging technology and a collaborative healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Conduct 3-D Tomosynthesis imaging procedures.
• Ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Operate GE Pristina mammography equipment efficiently.
• Collaborate with radiologists and department leadership to provide timely imaging services.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Allscripts charting system.
• Adhere to departmental policies and radiation safety standards.
• Provide patient education and compassionate care throughout imaging procedures.
• Float between the main hospital and ambulatory center as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum of 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience.
• AHA - BLS
• ARRT Certified Mammography Technologist [ARRT (M)] certification.
• Strong breast imaging experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Preferred:

• Experience with GE Pristina mammography systems.
• Experience performing 3-D Tomosynthesis studies.
