Contract Details:
- Start Date: September 7, 2026.
- Duration: 13-week contract.
- Schedule: Night shifts | 36–40 Guaranteed Hours/Week.
- Location: UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center (Des Moines, IA).
Requirements:
- Experience: Current high-risk L&D experience in a Level II/I trauma facility required; Epic EMR proficiency mandatory; travel experience required (first-time travelers not accepted).
- Licensure & Certifications: Active Iowa or compact RN license at submittal; active AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN / FHM certifications.

Cons
Lack benefits and perks other companies offer. Was incorrectly paid more than once. The assignment was the worst I’ve experienced from management down to housekeeping. They nitpick travelers on every level and give them double the respiratory therapist to patient ratio with every assignment spread over multiple floors and areas on every side of the facility. Staff makes no attempt at teamwork. Bottom line: Malone is ok🥴 but has MUCH room to improve. Elizabethtown, KY is awful and puts their patients and your license at risk every shift. Don’t do it!
