Adult Psych RN
Location
- Salem, Massachusetts
Job details
- Adult inpatient psychiatric RN role
- 36 hours per week
- Night shift
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Rotating shifts required for day-rotate positions; rotation is not required for night positions
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit overview
- Adult psych unit with patients ages 18 to 65
- 30-bed unit
- Patient ratio: 1 RN to 7 or 8 patients
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of psychiatric experience in an inpatient setting
- Psychiatric experience within the last year
- BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience in charge roles
Clinical setting notes
- Unit treats adults with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnosis
- Some medically acute patients are also cared for, including those needing IVs, CPAPs, wound care, and diabetic care
