Inpatient Acute OT Opportunity – Hilo, HI

Ardor Health Solutions is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Acute Care travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii on the Big Island.

This is one of those travel assignments where the location is every bit as exciting as the job. You'll work in a hospital environment with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, helping patients regain function and independence following surgery, illness, injury, and other medically complex conditions.

Qualifications Required

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current Hawaii OT license or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current BLS certification
• Strong evaluation and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfortable treating medically complex patients
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Previous inpatient acute or hospital experience preferred

What You'll Do

• Complete OT evaluations and reassessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Address ADLs, functional mobility, strength, endurance, cognition, coordination, and safety
• Provide therapeutic activities and functional training
• Educate patients and caregivers
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies
• Assist with discharge planning and recommendations
• Collaborate with PT, SLP, nursing, physicians, case management, and other members of the hospital team
• Complete timely clinical documentation
