PACU Registered Nurse

Location

Bridgeport, West Virginia

Evenings, 12-hour shifts

Hours

36 hours per week

Contract Length

16 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • PACU experience preferred

Unit Details

  • Phase 1 recovery only
  • 17 beds
  • No PCA support
  • Occasional ventilator, BiPAP, and CPAP patients
  • ICU patients may recover in PACU when needed
  • EKGs are performed and patients are on central monitoring

Schedule / Call

  • No self-scheduling
  • Designated day and night shifts
  • Weekend call is assigned, usually once every 3 months
  • Holiday call is on rotation, with no more than one major holiday per year
  • Call response time is 60 minutes

Floating

  • Does not float to other units

Orientation

  • Orientation is adjusted for travel nurses

Dress Code

  • Scrubs are provided
