Requirements
- Active RN License
- Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health, Psychiatric, or related RN experience
- BLS Certification Required
- First-Time Travelers Accepted
- Must be comfortable floating to:
- Adult Units
- Adolescent Units
- Child Units
- Geriatric Units
- Charge Nurse responsibilities may be required
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate psychiatric patient care
- Complete mental health assessments and intake screenings
- Administer and monitor psychiatric medications and treatment regimens
- Support patients in achieving recovery goals
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families regarding mental health treatment and recovery
- Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Recognize and respond to changes in psychiatric and medical conditions
- Utilize strong critical thinking and suicide prevention awareness
