Nursing Director / Nurse Manager – Inpatient Care
A healthcare organization in York, Maine is seeking a Nursing Director or Nurse Manager to lead inpatient nursing services across Medical/Surgical and ICU areas.
Position Highlights
- 13-week contract
- Full-time | Monday–Friday
- Target Start: October 12, 2026
- Leadership responsibility for Med/Surg and ICU nursing operations
Responsibilities
- Oversee inpatient nursing operations, patient care, safety, and quality.
- Lead and support nursing teams across Med/Surg and ICU.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Support nursing policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage nursing resources and departmental operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- BSN required.
- Active Maine RN license or Compact RN license in good standing.
- MSN preferred.
- Nursing leadership or specialty certification preferred.
- Nursing management/leadership experience preferred.
Qualified Nursing Directors and Nurse Managers are encouraged to apply with an updated resume highlighting relevant inpatient leadership experience.
