Qualifications
- Intensive Care Unit Nurse (2 years)
Description
Shift: 12H Nights — 7 PM–7 AM
Hours: 48 hrs/week guaranteed
Contract: 13 weeks
Weekend: Usually every other weekend
Holiday: As needed
Call: None
Float: First to float within the ICU/PCU unit
Charting: EPIC
Trauma: Level III
BSN: Not required
Travel experience: Required
Hard Must-Haves
The biggest screening points are:
Previous travel RN experience
EPIC experience
Thermaguard/Zoll cooling + TTM experience — MUST HAVE
BLS + ACLS + NIHSS
ICU experience strongly preferred — 2 years preferred
Comfortable titrating ICU drips
Comfortable reading/interpreting telemetry
Unit & Patient Population
30-bed combined ICU/PCU
16 ICU beds — ratios 1:1–2
14 PCU beds — ratios 1:3
Patient population can include:
Ventilated patients
Post-PCI cardiac patients
Impella / IABP
Stroke / TNK
TTM with Zoll/Thermaguard
Vascular
Trauma
Sepsis
EtOH
OD
Surgical/abdominal trauma
CRRT
Sedated/critically ill patients
