Assignment Details:

• Department: Radiology – CT / Cat Scan
• Location: 475 Seaview Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305
• Contract Dates: September 28, 2026 – December 26, 2026
• Assignment Type: Contract
• Shift: Mid
• Shift Time: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Shift Length: 7.5 hours
• Schedule: 37.5 hours/week guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: No
• Unpaid Meal Break: 30 minutes 

Facility Overview:

• 700-bed hospital system across 2 campuses
• Level I Trauma Center
• Teaching facility
• Exposure to a variety of clinical settings, including:
  • Inpatient  
  • Outpatient  
  • Emergency Department (ED)
  • Mobile CT services 

Position Overview:
 

Staten Island University Hospital – North is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist / CT Technologist to perform a wide range of CT examinations in a busy hospital environment. The technologist will work across multiple clinical settings and perform routine, trauma, specialized cardiac, and CT angiography studies.
 

CT Exams:

The technologist will perform various CT examinations, including:

• Head
• Pelvis  
• Trauma  
• Specialized cardiac CT
• CT Angiography (CTA)
• Other routine and advanced CT studies as required 

CT Equipment:

Experience with the following equipment is preferred:

• GE Revolution
• GE Discovery
• Toshiba Aquilion / Quillion1 

Required Qualifications:

• New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH) Radiologic Technologist License
• ARRT (R)(CT)
• NYS Injection / IV Certification
  • Candidates who have not yet completed the certification may be considered if they complete the IV certification course before starting and apply for NYDOH BERT certification.
  • Potential opportunity for physician skills sign-off to support the application.
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Willingness to work every other weekend

• IV/injection procedures
• Contrast administration
• Emergency/ED imaging
• Inpatient and outpatient imaging
• CT equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Patient positioning and safety
• Radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Ability to work effectively in a Level I Trauma environment 

Dress Code & Hospital Requirements:

• Scrubs required
• Top and bottom must match
• Any solid color
• No patterns
• Scrubs are not provided
• No open-toed shoes
• No excessive jewelry
• Long hair must be tied back
• Beards must be trimmed appropriately for fit testing
• Nails must not have chipped polish 

Must-Haves:
 

NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License
ARRT (R)(CT)
NYS Injection/IV Certification or eligible pathway before start
BLS
1+ year CT experience (2 years preferred)
Every other weekend availability
Level I Trauma experience strongly relevant
GE/Toshiba CT experience preferred
