ED Observation
Overview
- RN role in ED Observation
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating days/eves/nights with every other weekend
- Adult patient population
- 16 observation beds
- Floating required
- Rotating shifts required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- 2 or more years of total travel experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or CHSF or Military
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or CHSF or Military
- PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or CHSF or Military
- TNCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC
Unit Details
- 16 new observation beds for patients and holds
- Clinician-to-patient ratio: 4:1 or 5:1 depending on unit needs
- Census: 10-16
