Cath Lab Tech – Lafayette, CO

Shift: 10-hour Days
Contract Length: 13 weeks (90 contract weeks available)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
On-Call: Weekdays and weekends
Facility: SCL Health

Role Summary:

• Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization lab during invasive cardiovascular procedures, under RN supervision
• Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures; acts as scrub assistant, maintaining sterile technique
• Operates imaging equipment and works in the control room monitoring/documenting procedure images and events
• Educates patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post-procedure care
• Maintains unit order, cleanliness, and appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying process improvements and safety hazards

Requirements:

• 2 years of Cardiology/Cath Lab experience preferred
• Certification (one of the following): ARRT (R), ARRT-CV, ARRT-VI, RCIS, or RCES
• Fluoroscopy Operator Registration required
• Active BLS – AHA required
• Active ACLS – AHA required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• Radiation badge to be provided by the supplier/vendor
