Description

American Traveler is hiring a CV Invasive Specialist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification and BLS/ACLS.

Details

• Cardiac Cath Lab setting supporting invasive cardiovascular procedures
• 4x10 hour day shifts
• On-call required on weekdays and weekends
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree preferred
• 1 year of experience in the specialty required, 2 years of Cardiology/Cath Lab experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required and must not expire before start date
• Registered ARRT (R, CV, or VI) or RCIS or RCES required, RCIS may be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already held
• Fluoroscopy Certification required
• License required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
• Assist physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and act as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post procedure care
• Maintain unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for interventions and diagnostic procedures
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement and potential safety hazards
• Radiation badge provided by the staffing agency
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this assignment
