Description

American Traveler is hiring a CV Invasive Specialist for a Cardiac Cath Lab requiring RCIS/RCES/ARRT certification and BLS/ACLS.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Schedule consists of 4x10 hour day shifts
• On-call required on weekdays and weekends
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
• One or more of the following certifications required: ARRT (R, CV, or VI), RCIS, or RCES
• RCIS or RCES designation requires current Fluoroscopy Operator Registration
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
• 2 years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab preferred
• 1 year of experience in the specialty required
• Active license required; license required if applicable
• Certifications must not expire prior to start date
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures under RN supervision
• Assist physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and pre/post-procedure care
• Maintain unit cleanliness and appropriate stock levels for interventions and diagnostic procedures
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation per departmental standards
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying areas for process improvement
• Radiation badge provided by staffing agency
• Returning employees must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
