Job Breakdown – CT Technologist (CT Tech)

1. Shift & Schedule

• Position: CT Technologist
• Shift: Day shift
• Working Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP, approximately 3–4 weeks after the offer
• Orientation: Every other Monday
• Charting System: Cerner

2. Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Previous travel experience is mandatory.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Must be able to perform both CT scans and X-ray procedures.
• The requisition also contains a general compliance statement requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience. Since this is a CT Technologist position, confirm whether that statement applies to this role.

3. Required Licenses & Certifications

• ARRT(CT): Required.
• ARRT(R): Required.
• West Virginia (WV) license or Compact License: Required by the compliance instructions; pending license is accepted for submission.
• Required certifications must be listed on the application, and copies must be included in the submission packet.
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required.
• Flu Vaccine: Required; medical exemptions only.

4. Required Technical Skills

CT Imaging

• Performing CT examinations
• Preparing patients for imaging procedures
• Following imaging protocols and safety procedures
• Producing diagnostic-quality images

X-Ray Imaging

• Performing general X-ray examinations
• Positioning patients appropriately
• Operating X-ray equipment
• Following radiation safety standards

Additional Requirements

• Must be competent in both CT and X-ray.
• Cerner charting system experience may be helpful, although specific prior experience is not explicitly listed as a hard requirement.

5. Location & Travel Requirements

• Standard distance requirement: Permanent address at least 100 miles from the facility.
• Candidates living 75–100 miles away may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the same rate.

• First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Former permanent employees must wait 2 years after their last permanent employment date before returning as travelers.
