Position Details

Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
On-call: Yes, every 3rd to 4th weekend and 1-2 weekday calls
Floating: Yes, may float between service lines (not to sister facilities)

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Minimum 3 years of CVOR nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Schedule & Work Conditions

Block scheduling may be accommodated with prior approval (not guaranteed)
Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks; called-off hours can be combined to equal 1 shift
Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are not accepted
Travelers should be aware of potential emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June–November, peak in August and September)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
Performance evaluation dated within 12 months of start
Complete employment application/resume
Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
Radiation badge process must be completed before starting floor duties; badges may take 5-7 days to arrive
Background checks including:
- 7-year work/living history
- SSN trace, statewide, national criminal, sex offender registry, FACIS 3, international searches
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Physical exam: Initial and updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap within 10 years or declination form
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold not accepted)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination form
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (boosters if low titer)
Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Aug 1 – Mar 31)
COVID-19 vaccination not required but highly preferred; vaccination records must be uploaded or declination form completed
Respirator clearance: Annual medical clearance required for all patient-facing travelers
Facility-specific documents including signed agreements (Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Systems User Agreement, etc.) and photo for badge
Orientation modules must be completed prior to start; failure to complete results in being sent home
