Role Summary

Perform magnetic resonance imaging on patients using highly technical equipment and administer contrast materials as required.
Prepare the scan room and patient, screen patients for contraindications, assist with positioning, and review prior exams and patient data.
Use correct protocols, coils, restraints, and other materials during scanning.
Prepare records for the radiologist and ensure clinical information and exam images are complete and in order.

Required Qualifications

MRI Technologist experience within the last year
1 year of MRI Technologist experience
ARRT certification
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Siemens equipment experience

Decent patient ratios, good education availability, adequate management, good benefits/somewhat decent health insurance

Cons

Subpar pay (non-competitive with regional hospitals). Starting pay for a RN is 32.90 per hour in 08/2026. Other area hospitals like covenant and McLaren Bay City start out in the $40+/hr range. Lots of drama with coworkers, but that’s everywhere.
