Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (5x8 hour shifts)
Call Requirements:

Minimum 1 weekday call per week
Weekend call rotation
On-call shifts Monday–Friday 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM

Job Description

Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) as part of the surgical team
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR technicians
Ensure availability of supplies and timeliness of surgical cases
Communicate with patient families and update physician preference cards
Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures
Supervise personnel delivering patient care in the OR
Follow State Nurse Practice Act, AORN guidelines, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with adult and pediatric patients
Experience in orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), plastic surgery, and trauma
