RN Med Surg Telemetry

Overview

Travel RN float pool position
Specialty: Med/Surg Tele – IMC
Based in the Float Pool
Will float every shift to multiple medical, surgical, and cardiology units
Day shift: 0700–1930
Weekly guaranteed hours: 48
Weekend scheduling varies based on unit need
No call requirements
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
1 year or more of total travel experience
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Qualifications

ACLS
2 years inpatient hospital experience
Minimum 1 year travel assignments
2 years experience

Unit Details

Smallest unit has 15 beds; largest has 40+ beds
Typical patient ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights
Abbott Plum Pumps
EPIC

Additional Notes

Scrubs may be any color if clean and professional
Unacceptable attire includes jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes in them
