Overview
- Travel/contract RN assignment in Frederick, Maryland
- Adult/geriatric Medical-Surgical unit
- 13-week contract
- Night shift: 3x12s, 19:00–7:00
- Patient ratio: 1:5–6
- Rotating holidays and weekends
- Block scheduling is not available
Unit Details
- 3G is an adult/geriatric Medical-Surgical unit caring for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions
- Nurses manage complex patients with multiple comorbidities and provide both pre- and post-operative care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross or United States Department of Defense
- Must be able to independently interpret cardiac rhythms
- Experience with Meditech
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be comfortable caring for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with complex medical conditions and post-operative needs
- Strong assessment skills, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and the ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients are essential
