MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Castro Valley, California
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform MRI examinations on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Prepare patients for scans and treatments to provide diagnostic information.
• Operate MRI equipment, including 3T systems.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and quality assurance/quality control programs.
• Provide support and training assistance within the department.
• Serve as a liaison for the department.
• Perform radiographic exams including general, surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient.
• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, and ensure radiation protection compliance.
• Assist physicians during exams and adapt to individual routines.
• Oversee and train other personnel as needed.
• Maintain department records, files, and clerical responsibilities.
• Participate in professional development and education programs.
• Assist with patient transport as necessary.
• Adhere to department and hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• ARRT (MR) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
