Assignment Overview

17-week contract
Night shift
12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
Cardiac step-down / progressive care setting
Patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

Active Georgia RN license
ACLS
BLS
2 years of step-down experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

NIHSS
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Ability to pull pacer wires

Unit / Patient Population

Cardiology step-down unit
Common patients include post-op CABG, cardiovascular surgery, CHF, atrial fibrillation with RVR, pacemakers, ablations, AICDs, chest tubes, and related cardiac surgical cases

Work Expectations

Every other weekend required
Must be flexible with holidays and holiday-adjacent shifts
Floating to ICU may be required; if the nurse cannot take ICU-level patients, they may be assigned to tasking in the ICU
Fast-paced unit with frequent admissions and discharges

Additional Notes

Strict 75-mile radius rule applies
Clinical interview or auto-offer may be available
3-shift floor orientation
Dress code restrictions include natural-colored hair, no fake nails or shellac, no facial piercings, and no visible tattoos
