Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend or 2 weekend shifts per schedule
• Holiday rotation required

Unit Details

• 22-bed ortho/tele unit
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Charge nurse available 24/7
• CNA support: 3 CNAs per shift, ratio 1:7-8
• Floating may be required to 7E, 7W, 10W, or 10E
• Scrub color: royal blue

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Strong ortho experience
• Total joint replacement experience
• RN license

Additional Requirements

• Must submit only one position at a time across the WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Must include an unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license with submission
• Previous perm candidates must have been gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who completed 1 full year there must have been gone for 2 years
• COVID vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions handled through the stated exemption process

Clinical Notes

• Tele is present on the unit, but RNs do not need to read strips
• RN drips: not required
• RT/equipment support available as needed
• Unit orientation: 1-2 shifts on the unit
