Vascular Technologist - Peripheral Vascular Lab

Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform vascular ultrasound evaluations using Doppler and physiologic testing
• Write preliminary reports and communicate acute findings to the care team
• Obtain pertinent patient health history prior to examination
• Prepare procedure room and equipment for daily use and ensure timely room preparation between procedures
• Troubleshoot and identify equipment problems, reporting them to the appropriate supervisor
• May perform staff training and education

Schedule

• Day shift
• 12 hours per day
• 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Vascular Sonographer license in North Carolina
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Vascular Sonographer, including experience within the last year
• Completion of a 12-month program for ultrasound studies
• BLS certification
• Certification in one of the following:

  • RDCS or RVT through ARDMS
  • RCS, ACS, RCCS, or CCI certification
