Job Overview
- Location: Austin, Texas

- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Call: No call required
- Weekends: 4 weekend shifts per scheduling period required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
- 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 3 years of experience in High Risk OB
Unit Highlights
- Labor and delivery unit with 12 LDR beds, 5 antepartum beds, 4 OBED beds, and 3 OR rooms
- Typical procedures include C-sections, SVD, D&C, D&E, twin deliveries, emergent C-hysterectomy, and massive transfusion
- Self-scheduling is available
- Team-oriented environment with engaged staff and management
Preferred Experience
- High Risk OB experience
- Experience with massive transfusion
- Experience with PASD (placenta accreta spectrum disorders)
Additional Notes
- Joint Commission accredited in women’s services
- Maternal designation Level III and neonatal Level II
- EMR systems used on the unit include CPN and Meditech
