Travel RN role in Asheville, NC
Unit: K9A- Oncology/Women’s Surgical
24 beds
36 hours per week
Contract length: 26 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Oncology (2 years of experience)
Oncology experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Chemo Certification

Unit Details

Staffed with 42 total staff
Day shift includes 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 HUC
Night shift includes 1 CNC, 4-6 RNs, and 2 CNAs
Patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5
Uses Cerner
Standard unit equipment

Clinical Focus

Occasional pelvic exams
Echo
Thoracentesis

Floating

May float to other med-surg units; team rarely floats

Schedule

Rare call
Required to work 6 weekend days per schedule

Additional Notes

Team-oriented candidates who are willing to learn are preferred
Dress code: RNs wear navy, white, or a combination of both colors
