CT Tech (Radiology) - Travel Position

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Level 1 Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
• Large hospital with approximately 750 beds
• CT Department averages about 130 scans per day
• Staffing:

  • Lead tech plus three techs on dayshift
  • Split shift 9a-9p
  • One night shift tech 7p-7a (aiming for two but limited by staffing)
• Equipment:

  • Four GE CT scanners (64 slice and above)
  • PACS and FUJI Synapse systems
• EMR system: Meditech

Typical Procedures

• CTA chest, neck, abdomen
• CTA cardiac studies (Structural Heart program)
• CT head stroke protocol

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Kansas
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GE scanners
• Prior experience with Meditech EMR

Work Environment & Culture

• Team-oriented with good interdepartmental collaboration
• Dependable and prompt professionals preferred
• Dress code: Black scrubs (not provided)

Additional Notes

• Busy trauma and stroke center environment
• Rotating weekend schedule
• Shift hours typically 7 AM to 7 PM
