Job Overview

• Location: Largo, Maryland
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:30 AM–8:00 PM
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Maryland RN license
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• 1 year of CVICU experience
• CVICU experience within the last year

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as scheduled
• Floating required within the specialty, including IMC and lower-acuity areas as needed

Unit Details

• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Average daily census: 6
• 8 beds on the unit
• Typical ratio: 1:2 in CVICU/CCRU; 1:3 if floated to IMC

Clinical Focus

• Immediate post-op cardiac surgery care
• Vent management with respiratory therapy
• FloTrac
• CRRT
• IABP
• Impella
• Groin/radial artery management

Preferred

• NIH Stroke Certification
