Operating Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Kodiak, Alaska
• Start date: ASAP
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift, 5x8 hours
• Guaranteed hours: 72 per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alaska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS

Schedule / Assignment Details

• On-call required
• Weekend coverage required for on-call
• Floating within scope is not required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated
• Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• RTO requests are reviewed case by case

Facility / Work Setting

• Acute care medical center, long-term care, and outpatient setting
• Level IV trauma
• Critical access hospital
• 46 acute care beds and 22 LTC beds
• Epic charting
• Scrubs: any color or business casual

Housing

• Housing is provided during the assignment
• Typically a 1-bedroom apartment
• Move-in is available no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and no later than 24 hours after it ends
• Pets are not allowed
• Additional family members are uncommon and require approval
• Housing must be cleaned at departure or additional cleaning fees may apply
