Job Details
- Position: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
- Location: Cartersville, Georgia
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
- Call: None
- Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Block schedule requests: Not allowed
- Holiday Work: Required to work major holidays during assignment:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- If 1 holiday falls, work it; if 2 holidays fall, work both; if 3 holidays fall, work 2 of them
- Orientation: Non-billable orientation hours based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- RTO (Return to Office) Policy: Maximum 7 days to start after offer acceptance
- Locals accepted at same rate
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Compliance & Policies
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; failure to comply results in a 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Candidates must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
Additional Notes
- Aya offers a 48-hour manager review period after candidate confirmation to ensure fit for unit, schedule, and expertise
- No clinical remediation allowed for competency exams, but WorkRamp remediation is permitted before final attempt
- Candidates unable to pass Dysrhythmia/EKG exam after 3 attempts will be cancelled
- Orientation hours are non-billable and vary by contract length
- Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
