Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Lafayette, Indiana

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift Details

Night shift
4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (48 hours/week)
Shift hours: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Unit Description

Mixed Acuity Unit with medical patients and some Progressive Care Unit (PCU) level care patients
Unit includes oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary care
Patient ratios: Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4
Care involves unstable stroke patients and BiPAP management
Use of Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin drips

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Indiana
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or experience
Experience with Amiodarone drips
Experience with Cardizem drips
Experience with post heart catheterization care
Experience with post pacemaker care
Solid neurological nursing experience
Neurology experience
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
