Unit Information

• Unit Name: D2
• Location: Mission Main campus/D corridor, 2nd floor
• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6, dependent on level of care
• Patient Type: Inpatient overflow unit with mixed level of care (medical surgical and/or step-down patients)
• Typical Patient Stay: Short stay (<24 hours LOS)
• Equipment: Telemetry; all patients hardwired to bedside monitor
• EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills and Certifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• Telemetry competency
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Additional Information

• Floating Requirement: Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed.
• Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white attire.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required, no call required.
