Schedule

• Day shift
• 8 hours per day
• 40 hours per week

• 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provides technical support in the cardiac catheterization laboratory during invasive cardiovascular procedures.
• Assists physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and maintains sterile conditions as a scrub assistant.
• Operates imaging equipment and monitors/document procedure images and events.
• Provides patient care under RN supervision.
• Educates patients and families about the procedure and pre/post-procedure expectations.
• Maintains unit order, cleanliness, and stock levels.
• Completes daily, progress, and discharge documentation.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
• One of the following credentials:

  • ARRT
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (RCIS)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist with CV-specific certification
  • RCIS
  • RCES
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Fluoroscopy Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree
• Two years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Lab
