Overview

Travel assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Main Campus, Main building
30-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1:6
36 hours per week
13-week contract
Accepts 48-hour guarantee

Unit Details

Cardiac Med-Surg unit
Staffing includes 6 nurses per shift, a free CNC/charge nurse, a unit secretary on dayshift, and 3 PCTs per shift
Telemetry monitoring is used on the unit
Cardiac drips that are titrated: Cardizem and heparin
Non-titratable drips: dopamine, dobutamine, amiodarone
Uses Meditech
Scheduling: three full 12-hour shifts with 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
Floating: rotation with other travel nurses
Navy blue scrubs required

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
EKG/Cardiac Rhythm Identification
Familiarity with cardiac medications and drips

Preferred

Med-surg experience
Familiarity with cardiac medications/drips
Meditech familiarity

Additional Notes

12-lead EKG is present on the unit
Highest scoring unit for inpatient med-surg employee satisfaction
More than 12 internal awards within the department
