Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Location: Walla Walla, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Position requires acute care experience (hard stop requirement).
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) experience is highly preferred.
  • The role involves floating between units.
  • Weekend shifts required on a rotating 6-week basis.
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:10.
  • Charting system used: Epic.
  • Facility type: Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center with 104 staffed beds.
  • Scrub color: Any color allowed.
  • Parking: No fee.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington.
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually.
  • State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 90 days of start.
  • Education verification required.
  • E-Verify attestation required.
  • Social Security card and government-issued photo ID required.
  • Additional state or facility-specific background checks may apply.

Additional Requirements

  • Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp).
  • Float policy acknowledgment required (may be required to float to other nearby facilities).
