Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Santa Monica, California
Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
36 hours per week
Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 18 weeks
No on-call requirement
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
May float to postpartum
Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager discretion
RTO must be included at time of submission
Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM
EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
FHM

Unit Details

4 antepartum rooms
9 labor/high-risk beds
3 triage spaces
C-sections and vaginal deliveries
Fetal heart monitoring
High-risk pregnancy monitoring
May provide postpartum couplet care if needed
Newborn role in delivery may be required

Additional Notes

Seasonal winter rate applies for eligible start dates, with a later return to standard rates
Local radius is 50 miles
Epic is used for charting
Scrubs: navy blue for RNs; L&D/OR/Cath Lab scrubs are provided
Parking is paid
Acute care hospital with 266 staffed beds
