Operating Room RN

Overview

• Location: Charleston, South Carolina
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Shift: Day, 3x12s, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Level I trauma center, teaching facility, Magnet hospital

Schedule

• On-call required, up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks
• Up to 1 working weekend shift every 4 weeks
• At least one holiday period required
• Floating within scope and between like units/sister facilities is required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit / Role Details

• Operating Room RN
• RN staff are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
• Surgical specialties include trauma, transplant, ortho, neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and robotics

Compliance / Pre-Start Items

• 2 clinical references
• Complete application/resume
• Annual background check
• Education verification
• Physical exam
• Fit test within 90 days of start
• Tdap within 10 years of start or declination
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• Drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu documentation or approved exemption during flu season
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination if not vaccinated
• Radiation exposure attestation if required for the assignment
• Orientation modules must be completed before start
