RN - Med/Surg - Travel

• Day shift
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Med Surg (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

Role Overview

• Provides direct nursing care for a med/surg travel assignment
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric
• Documents nursing care, patient progress, and patient education accurately and completely
• Follows patient safety standards, including universal protocol and use of 2 patient identifiers
• Supports patient education and pre-/post-operative assessment and teaching
• Assists with completion and review of pre-admission testing orders
• Uses safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics
