Unit Information

Unit: Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Number of beds: 17
Staff: 56 total
Day shift staffing: 1 Charge, 5-6 RNs, 1 OB Scrub Tech
Night shift staffing: 1 Charge, 5-6 RNs, 1 OB Scrub Tech
Patient ratios: Typically 1:1 to 1:3, may fluctuate with acuity
Equipment used: Electronic Fetal Monitor (TOCCO, Ultrasound), Doppler, Novii
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech, CPN

Typical Procedures

Surgical tech duties in the Operating Room (OR)
Cleaning after vaginal deliveries

Required Qualifications

Valid Certified Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
Current BLS certification
Certification as CST or NBSTSA
Current DORA certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Meditech EMR
Prior OB Scrub Tech travel experience
