Unit Overview

• Unit Type: ICU, Med Surg, ER, Level 3 NICU
• Number of Beds: 160
• Staff: 32 total (Day shift: 5-6 minimum; Night shift: 4-4.5 minimum)
• Patient Ratios: RVU system
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours per week)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• Call Requirements: None

Equipment and Technology

• Ventilators: PB, Drager V500
• Respiratory Devices: Aerogen, V60 BiPAP, Heated High Flow Nasal Cannula (HHFNC), Hamilton C (transport ventilator), Oscillator, Jet ventilator, Nitric oxide delivery, Bubble CPAP
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Experience assisting with intubations
• Experience performing bedside bronchoscopies

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates with strong NICU skills and acute care experience will be prioritized
