Includes ICU, MedSurg Tele, and PCU across both campuses
Includes inpatients holding in the ED

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
Ability to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin

Schedule

Nights
12-hour shifts
36 hours per week
Every other weekend
Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Travelers will need to be flexible
Night shift will try to accommodate block scheduling

Clinical Setting Details

Nurse-to-patient ratios: PCU 1:4; MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
Charge nurse does not take assignments
Nurse aides are used in all settings
Telemetry monitors are on the unit
Nurses must be able to interpret strips
RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high flow in PCU; CPAP or BiPAP at night in MedSurg

Orientation

8-hour general hospital orientation
12-hour shift at West MedTele
12-hour shift at PCU at West

Additional Notes

Standby may be required on shifts with excessive staff
Assignment is communicated 2 hours before shift start by text message from the staffing office
Solid color professional scrubs are currently required; Navy scrubs will be required starting in October
