Technologist - Cath Lab (Days)

13 weeks

Work 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours
Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
Patients/scans per day: approximately 4
Equipment used: Artis Zee c-arm, Impella, IABP, Acist Injector
Types of procedures: peripheral and coronary angiography, PCI, pacemaker procedures
Hospital provides light blue scrubs
EMR system: EPIC
Orientation dates available: June 1 and June 8

Minimum 24 months of experience in Cardiac/Cath Lab
Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the last 12 months (no first-time travelers)
Proficient with fluoroscopy
Comfortable and proficient in peripheral and coronary angiography, PCI, and pacemaker procedures
ARRT or RCIS certification required
Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Driver’s license required
Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath discipline required
Professional reference or performance evaluation within the last 24 months preferred
Iowa Radiology license highly preferred; non-licensed applicants may apply but must obtain license upon offer acceptance

Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months unless they were travel employees (not full-time or PRN)
