Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Overview

Travel/contract role in New London, Connecticut
13-week assignment
Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
May be scheduled in the psychiatric area and floated to the main emergency department as needed
Short-term acute care, Level III trauma center

Key Responsibilities

Provide care for psychiatric emergency department patients
Cross-trained to work both psychiatric ED and main ED nursing assignments
Care for medical and psychiatric patients of all ages

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
Psych ED experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
TNCC
CPI
NIHSS
Experience with Epic
