Role Overview
- Travel RN position in Pasadena, Texas
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- Level III/IV NICU experience
- High-risk delivery attendance
- Experience with ventilators, CPAP, high-frequency ventilation, PICC/UVC/UAC lines, and neonatal resuscitation
Unit Details
- NICU with 25 beds
- Patient ratios: Level 2 1:2-3; Level 3 1:3-4
- Floating may include Mother-Baby/Postpartum
Common Procedures
- Neonatal resuscitation
- Respiratory support
- Feeding tube placement
- IV/central line care
- Blood draws
- Phototherapy
- Medication and infusion administration
- Thermoregulation
- Care of critically ill neonates
Work Environment
- Calm under pressure, compassionate, detail-oriented, team-focused, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively with families
Schedule / Dress Code
- 36 hours per week
- Royal blue scrubs
