RN Operating Room
Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Contract length: 14 weeks
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
Overview
Provides direct patient care in the operating room, including assessments, treatments, admissions/transfers/discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- BLS
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- Previous nursing experience
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
- Implement and evaluate nursing care within scope of practice
- Communicate changes in patient condition and coordinate care with the team
- Provide discharge teaching and support discharge planning
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities
