Registered Nurse (Rehab) - Travel Assignment
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Assignment Length: 6 weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Inpatient Rehabilitation unit with 10 beds
- Staff on unit: approximately 20
- Patient ratio: 5:1
- Equipment used: Sara Stedy, Hoyer lift, Sara Flex, Sara Plus, Carendo Shower Chair
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): EPIC and UDS
- Weekend requirement: up to every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Floating areas include Med Surg and Ortho
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Required Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse license
- Preferred Experience: Inpatient rehab experience is a plus, but any inpatient hospital experience is required
Typical Responsibilities
- Patient mobilization and lifting
- Documentation to maintain compliance with Medicare and unit policies
- Team-oriented work with strong teamwork skills
Additional Notes
- Documentation and compliance training provided during orientation
- Unit staffing for night shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 1 RN, and 1 Patient Care Technician (if census >8)
